Software designed for press brake applications

SigmaTEK Systems LLC has released SigmaBEND AP™ press brake software. Incorporating the unfolding functionality of AutoPol™ from FCC Software AB, it automatically recognizes bend information stored in both 2-D and 3-D CAD files.

Users have direct, seamless access to SolidWorks® and Inventor® files while interfaces to NX, Pro/E, CATIA, and CAD-neutral file formats including IGES, STEP, SAT, and Parasolid help reduce file import, unfolding and nesting steps, and errors.

The software features real-time, 3-D simulation with collision detections, as well as the ability for users to determine levels of manual control and automation for bend sequencing, tool and setup selection, finger stop positioning, and simulation.
