Benchtop presses enhanced to provide consistent die alignment

July 15, 2008

Beckwood Press Co. recently added a new element to its DJ series of standardized benchtop presses, which range from 3 tons to more than 40 tons. The DHS models now feature a ram equipped with antirotation to help maintain consistent die alignment throughout the cycle.

The presses are standardized hydraulic and hydropneumatic benchtop presses suitable for assembly, compression, punching, trimming, blanking, stamping, and coining applications. They can be modified for specific applications requiring customized stroke, shut height, bed size, or control systems. Users can equip the presses with standard relay-based controls or an upgraded PLC system that features an operator interface and a digitally programmable pressure switch for return on pressure capability.
