Lift table helps simplify die and mold installation/retrieval

Air Technical Industries Inc. has introduced a new heavy die and mold installation and retrieval system. The self-loading and -unloading system allows one-person installation of heavy dies into the press while preventing injuries from pushing, flexing, stretching, and reaching.
The design features two short arms and two long arms to do the pushing and pulling with the press of the button instead. The pushing, pulling, and lifting are activated hydraulically. The push/pull arms are positioned manually, or they can be powered hydraulically.
The arms can pull the die or mold from the storage shelving to the conveyor top deck, which is elevated to the desired height. It then securely holds the load to transport it to the press. The unit then raises or lowers the die to the press table height and pushes the die as deep into the press as required.
Available capacity is 2,000 to 50,000 lbs., with lifting from 14 to 120 in. high. The system measures from 24 to 96 in. wide and 48 to 144 in. long.
