Press tonnage monitor can be field-configured for two-, four-channel monitoring

February 12, 2008

Toledo Integrated Systems has introduced the PWi PressWatch tonnage monitor, a full-featured monitor for press protection and quality control. The tonnage monitor can be field-configured for two- or four-channel tonnage monitoring.

The monitor has time-based or resolver-based tonnage signatures displayed on the integrated LCD. Operators can view tonnage signatures at the press, without using external hardware or software.

Features include reverse tonnage display, 100-job storage, a computer interface for PressNet and TTGraph, top stop relay, e-stop relay, and a dustproof enclosure.

The monitor is compact, roughly half the size of many other four-channel systems, states the manufacturer. The tonnage of each channel, as well as total tonnage, is displayed on high-visibility, seven-segment LED displays. The user interface comprises six tactile switches and a backlit LCD with a simplified menu system. The LCD also is used to show tonnage deviation from setup, alarm history data, and settings.
