CMM withstands harsh environments

Keyence offers the XM series CMM. It can be installed in any environment and allows any operator to perform intuitive 3-D measurements with high accuracy, says the company.

Measurements are made using an on-screen, interactive visual guide and touch probe. The unit does not require any foundation or ancillary equipment. It operates in temperatures from 50 to 95 degrees F and relative humidity of 20 to 80 percent.

The operator selects the desired measurement parameters and measures the target to complete programming. Augmented-reality guidance images are created automatically, and measurement points with their 3-D elements are overlaid visually.
