Modular overhead track lighting system designed for NDT inspection

Spectronics Corp. has introduced the Spectroline® ONT-365 On-Trak™ NDT inspection system. The modular, overhead track light-style system, which employs UV-A and white light LEDs attached to a mountable platform, is suitable for use in NDT inspection booths, pre-inspections, and screening applications.

The system features four broad-beam lamp heads, each with three ultrahigh-flux UV-A (365 nm) LEDs for NDT inspection and one white-light LED for general illumination. Inspectors can move the lamp heads anywhere along the tracks so that beam patterns can be made to fit specific needs. Lamp heads can be added for increased area coverage.

The light sources produce a nominal steady-state UV-A intensity of 9,000 µW/cm² at 15 in. An optional attenuating filter is available for reduced-intensity applications. Electronic intensity stabilizers help ensure consistent UV LED performance during extended use, and built-in cooling fans moderate temperature.
