Shop floor CMM offers manual, automatic measuring functionality

February 25, 2014

Hexagon Metrology has introduced the Tesa MH3D-Dual CMM. It offers a combination of manual and automatic measurement functionality.

The unit’s flexible Tesa-Reflex Dual data management software has seven measuring options: points, lines, circles, planes, cones, spheres, and cylinders. Its built-in automatic feature- recognition function suggests the method for measuring a small or large series of parts. The software also displays automatically the characteristics linked to measured features. The system is compatible with Q-DAS and other standard formats. Measured data results can be exported into a PDF file and printed for further analysis.

A new pallet system measures a complete pallet of parts automatically, based on a manual sequence.
