Limab offers the TubeProfiler S for measuring the straightness, length, diameter, and ovality/shape of tube, now including precision and hydraulic tubes. The compact system scans end, local, and total straightness of tubes and pipes.

The inline measurement system registers and stores all the data of 100 percent of the produced tubes, including end-user certificates. It is suitable for both hot and cold applications in tube and pipe mills. The measurement gauge can be used on seamless tubes, UOE welded pipes, and ERW longitudinal welded tubes. One gauge can measure different dimensions from smallest to largest diameter.

Straightness is shown in real-time numbers, trend graphs, and 2-D and 3-D graphs. The database provides production data for long-term monitoring and process improvements. The system outputs both the straightness of the whole tube or part of the tube and the length, with alarm signals if any of the tolerance or warning limits are exceeded.
