Heavy-duty cutoff saw system automates push feed

TigerStop has introduced TigerSaw Ferrous, a fully automated, heavy-duty, precision ferrous metal cutoff saw and push feed. The column saw has mitering capabilities from 60 degrees left to 45 degrees right.
The system is designed to cut tube, pipe, and barstock up to 42 ft. long. Features include a pneumatic vertical material vise for positioning accuracy and four-speed blade rotation (15, 30, 45, and 90 RPM). A fully integrated pneumatic material loader and offload conveyor are optional.
The system includes the company’s intuitive operating system with a side-mounted touch pad, situated to allow the operator to import or program cut lists and perform one-off operations. It also incorporates Dynamic Optimization™, a proprietary nesting and optimizing program by which random lengths of metal can be nested and optimized, on-the-fly, by the cut list of needed parts and the actual dimensions of the material placed on the system infeed fence. The system does this automatically so that operators do not have to run nesting programs.
