CNC punching system delivers up to 220 tons

Trilogy Machinery will introduce the Sunrise ANC fully automatic, CNC punching system at FABTECH 2012. It combines a dual-cylinder ironworker or punching machine delivering up to 220 tons, with up to a 20-ft. single-axis infeed system for punching flat bar, angle, and channel webs.

The main frame is a heavily proportioned, machined structural steel tube that provides rigidity while offering simplified setup, adjustment, and maintenance. The servo-driven rack-and-pinion guide system features Swiss-made Güdel components.

The components provide ±0.004-in. accuracy, high repeatability, and high efficiency, according to the company. They produce low friction, vibration, and noise while running under heavy loads at full operating speeds of up to 590 IPM.

The standard 7-in. touchscreen controller is podium-mounted for placement according to job needs; preset patterns help simplify programming.
