TRUMPF Inc. has added the Lasercell 1000 Powertrain and the TLC 1000 Hybrid to its laser product line.
The Lasercell laser-welds power train and gear components and is designed to meet the requirements of high-volume production facilities. Flexible add-ons are available, including a press-rotary station, preheating, and filler wire feeder. An automatic loading and unloading unit to feed the one, two, or three workstations is optional.
The Hybrid is a five-axis laser with a moving table in the X axis and a cantilever Y axis. The table can handle parts up to 500 kg. The machine can cut 2-D and 3-D parts, and an optional rotary axis for tube cutting or welding round parts is available.
The system has a 5- or 7.5-in. cutting head; a cantilever design allowing for open access to the work envelope; a work envelope of 118 in. in the X axis, 65 in. in the Y axis, and 30 in. in the Z axis; and axis travel of 118 in. in the X and 79 in. in the Y direction.
The distance from the laser's head to the material is kept constant using the company's DIAS height regulation system. Axis accuracy is less than or equal to 0.1 mm with repeatability less than or equal to 0.03 mm.
