Bug-O Systems offers the Girth Welder, an automatic welding system for tank fabrication applications.
The self-propelled welding system can reduce field storage tank welding time up to 40 percent, the company reports. Designed to reduce welding defects, the system is suitable for inside and outside welding of bottom-up- or jack-up-constructed, single- or double-wall storage tanks.
Features include a dual-motor, frequency-inverter drive system; power source storage; and a heavy-duty flux recovery system.
