CNC machines produce piston rods, hydraulic cylinder bodies in one operation
Bardons & Oliver offers Big-Bore two-axis, horizontal CNC turning machines for the manufacture of piston rods and hydraulic cylinder bodies in one operation.
Using the company's proprietary CNC turning cells complete with material handling, live tooling, and customized programming, the machines handle bar and tube applications from 1.00 through 12.00 in. in diameter.
The machines have 12 or 15 stations and interference-free turrets with optional live tooling. Spindle speeds of 3,000 RPM are available, and the AC spindle drive is 40, 54, or 80 HP.
Bar and tube loading systems allow automatic magazine loading and handle incoming material up to 40 ft. long. A bundle unscrambler is optional, and part unloaders are available to unload finished parts up to 15 ft. long. All systems feature GE-FANUC CNCs with digital AC servo drive systems.
