Machining center handles tube diameters up to 3.15 in.

BLM Group USA offers the EM80, a combined automatic sawing and CNC end machining center for tube and bar processing. The machine performs cutting, chamfering, facing, boring, threading, and profiling of tube and bar.

The system handles tube diameters from 0.39 to 3.15 in. with wall thicknesses from 0.03 to 0.47 in. and solid bar from 0.39 to 2.56 in. It processes barstock lengths from 8.20 to 39.37 ft. The blade, which makes cuts using constant chip-load technology, travels at 65.62 to 1,476.38 FPM.

The unit’s bundle loader, which handles up to 4.4 tons, can be loaded at any time during the operation. A conveyor brings the parts toward a two-position chute to allow the parts to be dropped into the appropriate bin. A second conveyor handles chip removal.
