Metal cutting controller has expanded functionality

Hypertherm has announced plans to produce the new MicroEDGE Pro CNC with the latest Phoenix® version 9 software.

The CNC delivers customizable control for a variety of cutting applications. The software expands the control's functionality for multiple plasma bevel designs, waterjet, and cutting of rectangular tube and round pipe.

Also new for the CNC is the company’s proprietary Hypernet communication, which allows connectivity among the CNC, ArcGlide torch height control, and HyPerformace plasma or HyIntensity™ FiberLaser through use of an Ethernet cable. All necessary cut process parameters can be embedded in the customer part program in the CAM software to help reduce setup time while eliminating common process errors.
