Pipe end prep tool features 1,800-W electric motor - TheFabricator.com

Esco Tool has introduced the Prepzilla MILLHOG® electric ID clamping end prep tool for heavy-wall preps.

The heavy-duty unit has dual-opposed tapered roller bearings, direct-drive gears, a rigid blade-lock system, and TiN-coated T-15 tool steel cutter blades. Now offered with an 1,800-W motor that operates on 110/230 VAC, it needs one mandrel and eight sets of clamps for pipe from 1.5 in. ID to 8.62 in. OD.

Designed to bevel, face, and bore hard pipe alloys, the tool is supplied with all clamp ribs and pads, a hose and filter, lubricator, and a metal carrying case. Converting the pneumatic version of the tool to electric requires four bolts.
