Portable beveling tool head removes boiler tube membrane, overlay

Portable beveling tool head removes boiler tube membrane, overlay - TheFabricator.com

Esco Tool has introduced a new, patented membrane and overlay removal head to fit several of its MILLHOGĀ® beveling end prep tools.

The head features proprietary inserts shaped like golf tees, rather than screws, that can be rotated to use their 360-degree cutting edges. Capable of removing boiler tube membrane and overlay while beveling simultaneously, the head handles tubes from 0.875 to 3 in. OD.

As the head rotates, the holding forces of the inserts are multiplied to help minimize vibration and heat. The inserts tap into place and are removed the same way.
