Slip-on pipe fittings can be used to build ADA-approved handrail systems

Easyfit™ Inc. has introduced a line of slip-on structural pipe fittings to build handrail systems that conform to the barrier-free requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and other applicable state and local building codes. Designed for stairs, ramps, walkways, and other areas where safety railing is required, the fittings are used to construct handrails that provide a smooth, continuous gripping surface throughout the length of the installation.
The ADA series is comprised of eight fittings used within a framework of 1-1/4-in. nominal pipe. No welding, drilling, or threading is required to construct the handrail system. Instead, the stainless steel set screws are tightened with a hex key.
The fittings include ADA01 upright connector, ADA02 handrail connector, ADA03 wall bracket, ADA04 intermediate bracket, ADA05 end return, ADA06 90-degree bend, ADA07 intermediate connector, and ADA09 adjustable bend. They are constructed of cast iron to BS EN 1562:1997 and are galvanized to BS EN ISO 1461:1999 for corrosion resistance. They can be powder-coated to any RAL color.
