Vertical-column cold saw suitable for cutting tubes, profiles

Kalamazoo Machine Tool offers the C320SA semiautomatic vertical-column cold saw. It features simple operator controls for fast, easy setup, the company states, making it suitable for production sawing of tubes, profiles, and small solids.

The saw features two spindle speeds—17 and 34 RPM—and accepts blades up to 12.5 in. dia. It can operate in a 90-degree cutoff mode for conventional sawing; with the turn of a lever, the saw frame can be swiveled to any desired angle up to 45 degrees left or 60 degrees right for miter sawing.

The machine features an air-over-hydraulic system that provides optimum sawing pressure and speed. The air vise can be equipped with infinitely variable clamping pressure to prevent distortion of structurals.

Standard equipment includes a heavy-duty, precision-ground saw bed; TEFC three-phase, 2.5-HP drive motor; totally enclosed transmission; and removable full-blade guarding.
