Videoscope systems suitable for tube, pipe inspections

Lenox Instrument Co. offers a complete line of videoscope imaging systems, including UV models that help speed inspection time and provide clear illumination of welds and surface defects such as pitting, corrosion, and denting inside tubing and pipe.

The systems feature a choice of nonarticulating or steerable, four-way articulating probes and a selection of direct and right-angle field-of-view objective lenses. The flexible, working portion of the probes is protected with polyurethane sheathing or impregnated tungsten braiding, depending on the model, and available in diameters of 0.209, 0.236, 0.330, or 0.472 in., with working lengths up to 98.4 feet.

Features include an all-metal-construction handpiece for single-hand operation, as well as a 6.6-ft.-long umbilical cable that connects to a color LCD monitor with antiglare coating and active matrix technology for wide viewing angle.
