Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Ltd. has released the PurgElite® tube and pipe weld purging system in 15 models for diameters from 1 to 24 in. It is suitable for use on tubes and pipes for the biogas, semiconductor, shipbuilding, offshore, power, and petrochemical industries.
The system can be used for applications in which the internal surfaces may be polished. With the new Intacal® inline purge valve and synthetic hose protection, there are no metal parts to scratch the tube or pipe surfaces. The valve also eliminates problems with burst bladders.
The unit allows local purging of 1-in.-dia. tube and pipe welds without the need to fill up complete systems with inert weld purging gas.
