Axial tube forming machine offers fast tool changing

transfluid® Maschinenbau GmbH offers the t form REB system for axial tube forming. The machine configuration is determined by three factors: the tube size, the material, and the forming geometry. For example, sharp-angled contours require significantly more upsetting output than smooth ones.

The forming machine can provide fast tool changing, extreme degrees of forming, and complex geometries, states the manufacturer. The tool sequence is positioned vertically or horizontally via a servomotor. Up to six forming stages and one intermediate clamping unit handle almost all forming requirements, says the company. Integrated rolling stations are used for specific tube forming processes.

The system is operated via a touchscreen with an integrated database, with which the user manages specific machining sequences and process and machine parameters. Hydraulic, numeric, and electrical drives are optional. For very short cycle times, the forming procedure can be carried out step-by-step in transfer systems.
