Combination machines offers axial, rolling pipe forming

A new generation of machines from transfluid® combine axial and rolling pipe forming. With the machines, geometries in pipe end machining can be formed directly on the pipe, replacing turned parts. No soldering or welding is needed.

The user can specify the combination based on the forming geometry. Typically, up to six axial forming stages and at least one rolling unit are used. For trimming, axial forming, and rolling forming are needed, two rolling stations may be required as well.

The machines can be equipped with one or several single-drive axes. The axes have a servo-electrical drive and can be used for the forming stages in each of the holders. This makes the system compact and flexible.
