The 1001EL end forming machine from Wauseon Machine and Mfg. Inc. is a single-hit end former with an electric servo-driven ram and an extended 8 in. of stroke. The extended stroke makes the machine suitable for shell, coupling, or bead locking since the entire process can be completed in a single motion with the addition of a load chute.

According to the manufacturer, studies have shown CPK improvements when using electric models as compared to hydraulic models. The electric machines offer reduced noise and energy savings, and users can adjust the ram retract position for shorter cycle times. All of the company’s electric machines can be equipped with a servo flag stop, allowing users to adjust the flag stop position without the use of tools for precise adjustment.
