Pass-through blasting unit blasts leading, trailing edges of work area

Viking Blast & Wash Systems has released the RT 1212 pass-through blaster. It features a blast width and height of 12 by 12 in.

The redesigned unit's blast wheels are arranged to blast leading and trailing edges of the work area. It also incorporates starters with phase loss and imbalance protection. The blaster comes with zero-speed sensors as standard on the driven end of abrasive conveyance shafts, helping to reduce downtime when components wear out or fail.

The aggressive air intake allows for application of more air through the abrasive stream to keep the abrasive and cabinet clean. The cabinets are made of 11 to 14 percent manganese or AR 500, depending on the specific application. Roller conveyors in the cabinet are made of wear-resistant materials; external roller conveyors are optional.
