Table-style blast machine features simplified loading, unloading

Viking Blast & Wash Systems has released the 48 ST airless swing table shotblast system. The worktable is attached to the blast door, so that when the door is opened, the table swings completely clear of the cabinet for simplified loading and unloading.
Table-style blast machines can clean a variety of parts that cannot be tumbled because of their size or shape. The table rotates while exposed to the abrasive blast, providing a uniform surface finish.
The system comes standard with a single swing door. An optional second door with table can be added. This machine features a -in.-thick steel table with a replaceable, abrasive-resistant liner that is 48 in. in diameter.
The blast system can clean parts up to 48 in. tall and has a load capacity of 2,000 lbs. It uses two 10-HP VK PowerMax 1300 blast wheels. Abrasive-resistant, manganese-alloy plate wear liners protect the blast cabinet in the primary blast zone, directly opposite the blast wheels. Cast chrome liner packages also are available for increased cabinet protection and abrasive resistance.
Other standard features include an airwash separator for cleaning abrasive before blasting, a separator plate to provide equal distribution of abrasive, and a safety interlock to prevent opening of the blast door during operation.
