Abrasive waterjet accessory head allows 6-axis cutting

OMAX® Corp. offers the water-resistant Rotary Axis head for complex 3-D parts production as an accessory for its JetMachining® Centers. The head expands an OMAX machine’s capabilities to cut in up to 6 axes when used in conjunction with the A-Jet® software-controlled, multiaxis cutting head.

Precise indexed rotations make the head suitable for pipe and tube cutting and simplify challenging projects such as intersecting pipe fittings. The accessory’s drive head also allows for customized fixtures, and a versatile attachment design lets users position the head in various locations within a machine’s work tank.

Fully submersible and powered by common table controls, the accessory requires no additional power supply. It features a built-in water drip sensor with warning lights and automatic shutdown, as well as external grease fittings for simplified maintenance.
