Waterjet mini hopper allows operators to adjust abrasive flow

Jet Edge Inc. has introduced the new Permalign® V-series mini hopper for abrasive waterjet cutting. The variable-aperture unit allows waterjet operators to make adjustments to abrasive flow, minimizing abrasive consumption. The water-resistant design helps prevent abrasive clogs that can cause stoppages and scrap out material.

Built for the harsh abrasivejet environment, the mini hopper does not require an enclosure. Infinitely adjustable between 0.10 and 2 lbs./min., the unit features improved venting of excess abrasive, says the company.
