Waterjet pump can run continuously at 60,000 PSI

OMAX® Corp. has developed the new EnduroMAX™ pump for its JetMachining® centers. The pump runs at 55,000 PSI for 1,000 hours between required pump rebuilds, the company reports. It also can run continuously at 60,000 PSI.
The pump operates at 85 percent efficiency. It uses independent pump cylinders which can be rebuilt as needed rather than the entire assembly. The seal design has been upgraded to help increase pump operating life and reduce maintenance time.
Models include the 3060 (30 HP), 4060 (40 HP), and 5060 (50 HP). New equipiment and retrofit kits are available.
