Waterjet pumps deliver 90,000 PSI

KMT Waterjet Systems Inc. has introduced the KMT Streamline® PRO-III 90,000-PSI series waterjet pump in 125- and 60-HP models. New features include a patented metal-to-metal seal design and patented SUPRAlife metal canister to protect UHP seals.

The pumps accommodate a range of applications, including 5-axis, 3-D cutting capabilities.

The 125-HP model with a 0.016-in. orifice cuts products in half the time of conventional 60,000-PSI, 50-HP waterjet systems, the company states. It is available with dual cutting heads using 0.0011-in. orifices. The 60-HP model offers fast cutting and savings in abrasive consumption usage while increasing throughput capacity compared to 60,000-PSI waterjet pumps, reports the manufacturer.
