Waterjet system features 8-ft. by 13-ft. work envelope, allows overhead loading

Jet Edge Inc. has introduced its new Mid Rail Gantry waterjet system. It features an 8-ft. by 13-ft. work envelope with an exposed tank that accommodates overhead loading. It comes standard with one abrasivejet cutting head; a second cutting head can be added.

The system is driven by ball screw and features heavy-wall tubular steel construction. It uses an industrial PC controller and can be configured so that all three axes are programmable (Z optional). It also features direct-couple, AC, brushless, digital servomotors and single or double carriages. Critical bearing components are protected with heavy metal covers with brush seals.
