Technology Twins: High-Speed Cutting meets High Speed Bending

At Fabtech 2012 Bystronic introduced the Technology Twins: BySprint Fiber 3015 laser cutting machine and Xcite 80 E electric press brake. With 4kW Fiber-Laser power, the BySprint Fiber, has over three times the cutting speed in the thin-sheet metal range compared to a CO2 laser, and demands equally high-speed performance from bending technologies to truly take advantage of its increased throughput capabilities.

The Xcite 80 E is the high performance solution for the economical bending of sheet metal parts in the thickness range up to one eighth inch thick. With up to 2.5 times faster speeds and accelerations compared to that of a conventional hydraulic press brake, the Xcite 80 E performs at high speeds without compromise to safety and accuracy. The Xcite 80 E is easy to operate thanks to the innovative Bystronic ByVision Bending control with 22 inch touch-screen and the integrated Fast Bend+ safety bend system.
