3DQue Systems installs 3D printer at MCPP

3DQue has announced the first installation of its QPoD automated 9-printer additive manufacturing unit at Mitsubishi Chemical Performance Polymers (MCPP), a polymer-based filament manufacturer in Warren, Mich.

The printer delivers 100,000 parts per year, running 24/7 without human intervention.

It allocates the right files to the right printers, autonomously removes parts, alerts operators when prints are finished, resets printers, and automatically starts the next print job. Scraping, taping, and gluing are eliminated.
