Hand tools for cutting 3D printer filament and removing supports

Xuron Corp. offers two hand tools for FFF (fused filament fabrication)-style 3D printers. The 170-II Micro-Shear Flush Cutter prepares filament being fed into the printer, and the 450 Tweezer-Nose Pliers removes support structures during postprocessing.

The manufacturer says the cutter’s shearing action provides a clean, square cut, and the pliers’ precision tips can grasp objects having the diameter of a human hair. The hand tools have contoured, soft, non-slip rubber grips and are made from hardened alloy steel.
