FABTECH 2018: From the floor (video enhanced)

FABTECH® 2018 is over, but the impressions it left are not. The stamping area was lively with demonstrations, introductions, presentations, and conversations.

Highlights included COE’s new heavy-duty servo piloting feeder that corresponds with servo presses’ pendulum mode; AIDA America’s near fineblanking capability afforded by its servo presses; Wilson Tool International’s X-Sharp grinder that sharpens tooling automatically; Accurate Die Designs’ Die Debugger software that allows stampers to debug dies while they’re still on the computer; Wintriss’ Smart PAC Pro that controls all automation, stamping presses, tonnage monitoring, and ram adjustment, and has enhanced communication capabilities, including feeders and lubrication systems; and PAX Products's low-profile conveyor that fits under a laser.

FABTECH, North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing event comprised more than 1,500 companies presenting from more than 650,000 net square feet of exhibit space. Nearly 34,000 attendees from 75 countries converged on Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center to explore three exhibit halls full of new products, technology, and the latest manufacturing innovations.
