Off-the-shelf and custom 3D-printed shoes available online

Souls, a 3D-printed shoe from Soul Feng.

If you’re thinking about getting into additive manufacturing, whether it be dipping a toe in or jumping in with both feet, you’ll need appropriate footwear. You may find the kicks you need at 3Dshoes.com.

It’s a website dedicated to selling 3D-printed shoes manufactured by companies from around the world. Some are big and well-known—Nike and New Balance, for example—while others, like Soul Feng and Volumental, are small and less familiar.

Regardless of company size and visibility, though, they all share 3Dshoe.com’s motto: “Disrupting Global Footwear Market with Tech.”

The operator of the site describes its mission as connecting “designers, consumers, and anyone excited about this 3D world!”

Besides footwear, the site sells insoles, 3D-printing software, and shoe designs. Some designs can be downloaded from the site for free. There are also lists of locations where buyers can have their feet scanned and shoes printed.
