IWDC presents Bob Jackson Memorial Award to Innovair Group CEO

The Independent Welding Distributors Cooperative (IWDC), Indianapolis, has presented its Bob Jackson Memorial Award to Grant Cockshott, CEO of The Innovair Group, Winnipeg, Man. The award recognizes Cockshott’s contributions to IWDC, the industrial gas and welding industry, and the province of Manitoba.
Bob Jackson played an integral part in the formation of IWDC. The honor is bestowed annually on a member with a strong volunteer spirit who supports independents, is viewed internally and externally as a respected leader, is engaged in the industry and community, and is family-centric.
As CEO, Cockshott is the third generation of his family to lead the business, which comprises four operating companies: Welders Supplies, an independent distributor of industrial gases and welding supplies; Innovair Automation, a robotic welding and cutting integrator and engineering services firm; Medigas Manitoba Ltd., a distributor of medical gases and sleep apnea treatment services; and Innovair Medical, a distributor of medical devices.
