Fagor Arrasate to provide straightener sections to SSAB

Spain-based coil equipment builder Fagor Arrasate will deliver two straightener sections for ugrading the pickle line tension leveler at SSAB, a steel producer in Sweden. Product from these lines will be distributed in Europe and the U.S.

The equipment can flatten hot-rolled black and hot-rolled pickled and oiled strip up to 65 in. wide by 0.5 in. thick. It features eight backed-up work rolls with a four-over-four roll configuration and 6-in. roll dia. The straightener is fitted with three 90-kW motors.
