Texas Steel Conversion acquires Superior Drillpipe Mfg.

Houston-based Texas Steel Conversion Inc. (TSC), a processor of oil country tubular goods and manufacturer of drill pipe, has acquired the business assets of Superior Drillpipe Mfg. Inc., a Houston manufacturer of friction-welded horizontal directional drilling (HDD) drill pipe up to 8-3/4 in., as well as API and double-shoulder oilfield drill pipe from 2.875 to 6-5/8 in. OD.

Superior's drill pipe sales operations will be folded into TSC Drill Pipe, a division of Texas Steel Conversion. All large-diameter, friction-welded HDD will continue to be handled by Roger Wellens at TSC Superior HDD.
