Ferris State’s welding engineering technology program receives plasma cutting system
Airgas, Hypertherm Inc., and Machitech Automation have collaborated to donate a high-definition plasma cutting machine to Ferris State University.
Installed at the Center for Advanced Manufacturing in the Swan Technical Arts Building, the Hypertherm XPR 300 with a Machitech 5-axis beveling head is part of the welding engineering technology bachelor’s degree program. Students enrolled in this program also receive Hypertherm's ProNest CAD/CAM software.
