SLCC opens Westpointe Workforce Training & Education Center

Utah’s Salt Lake Community College has opened the new, 121,000-sq.-ft. Westpointe Workforce Training & Education Center.

The facility is designed to support the community by providing education and training in key industries that are critical to the region's economic success, including welding, machining, injection molding, and composites manufacturing. The center houses eight classrooms, 34 lab spaces, and 100 welding bays.

The college offers 106 certificate programs in CTE, along with 32 degree programs and 29 noncredit certificate programs in CTE.
