IronCAD’s bulk drawing tools streamline detailing process for metal fabricators

IronCAD’s 2018 Product Update #1 adds features to its 3-D CAD platform for metal fabricators that are designed to increase detailer productivity by streamlining the steps needed to move 3-D designs into the 2-D production drawings.

With new process improvements for bulk drawing creation, parts and assemblies can be selected and can store predefined templates that populate the bulk creation process automatically. This stored information can be used in conjunction with the platform’s catalogs of premade designs.

Shrink-wrap enhancements include more advance preparation options for packaging designs and reducing output data such as shell representations of designs, supporting secure file-sharing options for diverse-use cases.
