Mullen Technologies to add 600 jobs in Tennessee and Mississippi

California-based electric vehicle manufacturer Mullen Technologies has announced plans to add about 50 jobs at a manufacturing facility in Tunica, Miss., in its first year and expand to more than 200 workers within three years. The company also plans to invest $336 million in a production facility in Memphis, Tenn., and add more than 400 jobs.

The EV manufacturer expects to begin production of a midsize SUV in 2024. The Memphis plant would make 5,000 of the vehicle in the first year before expanding to 22,000 vehicles per year by 2027.
