Thyssenkrupp Materials Services invests $37 million in Mexico service center

Thyssenkrupp Materials Services has announced plans to establish a new site for the Materials de Mexico division in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. The company is investing around $37 million in a service center that will support the future viability of the automotive supply industry and create about 65 jobs.

“The needs and requirements of the industry are changing rapidly,” said Martin Stillger, CEO. "Against the background of the major transformation themes of electromobility, sustainability, and supply chain resilience, Mexico is a clear growth market for us.”

The new location, scheduled to be operational in mid-2023, will include a Schuler blanking line used to cut aluminum and high-strength steel blanks for the automotive industry.
