Okay Industries launches NexTech Labs for R&D

Customers work directly with multidisciplined engineering teams in Okay Industries’ NexTech Labs, collaborating on manufacturability and solving design challenges.

Okay Industries, New Britain, Conn., a contract manufacturer that engineers components and subassemblies for OEMs in the medical device and industrial markets, has launched NexTech Labs. These prototyping and process development labs are dedicated spaces offering equipment, resources, and staff who work collaboratively with customers to solve complex engineering design challenges.

The labs, committed to process development and prototype manufacturing for medical devices, offer multiaxis, high-speed CNC, and LaserSwiss machining; laser tube cutting; laser welding; marking; and surface treating—with integrated design software and advanced robotic technologies. They also offer 3D printing for quick-turn feasibility testing, tooling, and fixtures.

With engineers from manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, laser processing, design for manufacturability, and design for automation disciplines, the labs combine expertise with the latest production and quality control technologies. The company’s in-house tool and die design and development experience allows it to customize the manufacturing process.
