Buehler appoints exclusive consultant

Buehler, a manufacturer of metallographic and hardness testing equipment and consumables, has announced that George Vander Voort has joined the firm as an exclusive consultant, working with the laboratory applications team in Lake Bluff, Ill.

A physical metallurgist and expert in microstructural analysis, interpretation, and measurement, he previously served as Buehler’s director of research and technology for more than a decade. Vander Voort holds a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from Drexel Institute of Technology (now Drexel University) and a master’s degree in metallurgy from Lehigh University.
