Universal Robots global technical compliance officer wins Engelberger Award

Denmark-based cobot manufacturer Universal Robots has announced that its global technical compliance officer, Roberta Nelson Shea, has received the Joseph F. Engelberger Robotics Award in the Application category.

This award recognizes individuals or organizations that have made a significant contribution to the development of robotics technology and its practical application. Nelson Shea won the award for her outstanding work related to robotics safety worldwide.

“This award is a testament to the great contribution Roberta has made to the robotics industry,” said Universal Robots President Kim Povlsen. “In robotics, and especially when it comes to cobots, safety is always the top priority.
