Steel Dynamics to acquire Roca Acero

Fort Wayne, Ind.-based steel producer and metals recycler Steel Dynamics Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the equity interest of Roca Acero S.A. de C.V., a scrap metals recycling business based in Monterrey, Mexico.

Roca has four scrap processing facilities in central and northern Mexico that together ship about 575,000 gross tons of scrap annually. Their annual processing capability is estimated at 850,000 gross tons.
