Metabo appoints president/CEO

Christopher Berg, Metabo President/CEO for the U.S. and Canada.

Metabo Corp., West Chester, Pa., a manufacturer of hand-held power tools and accessories, has appointed Christopher Berg as president/CEO for the U.S. and Canada. He succeeds retiring President/CEO Joseph S. Smith.

Berg comes to the company from Medix, where he served as chief strategy officer. He also has worked for Kohler Co. in a number of roles; for Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp. in product management and finally as director of new business development; and for Bombardier Recreational Products, ultimately as the global director of marketing and strategic planning for the Evinrude brand.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and operations research and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
