STI/SPFA announces 2021 Safety Awards winners

Steel Tank Institute/Steel Plate Fabricators Association (STI/SPFA), Lake Zurich, Ill., has announced the winners of its Safety Awards for 2021.

The Safety Diamond Club Award is presented to any fabricator or affiliate member that achieved the appropriate amount of work hours or time worked without an OSHA-recordable incident for five consecutive calendar years. The winners are:

• Corrpro Companies - Phoenix Waterworks, Phoenix

The Safety Award of Excellence recognizes member companies with employees who achieve a 0.00 OSHA total recordable incident rate for the previous calendar year. The winners are:

• Blastech Mobile LLC, Axis, Ala.
• CB&I Americas Ltd., Houston.
• CBI Services LLC, Plainfield, Ill.
• Enerfab Inc., Spring Grove Shop, Cincinnati.
• Enerfab Inc., Process Bay-4 Shop, Cincinnati.
• Fisher Tank Co., Chester, Pa.
• Kennedy Tank and Mfg. Co. Inc., Indianapolis.
• Modern Welding Co. of Florida Inc., Orlando, Fla.
• Southern Tank and Mfg. Inc., Owensboro, Ky.
• Steel Tank and Fabricating Corp., Columbia City, Ind.
• Tank Industry Consultants Inc., Indianapolis.

The Safety Award of Achievement recognizes member companies that achieved a minimum 10% reduction in the OSHA total recordable incident rate, with no fatalities, during the 2021 calendar year, as compared with the average total recordable incident rate for the three previous years. The winners are:

• Brighton Tru-Edge, Cincinnati.
• Modern Welding Co. of Georgia Inc., Augusta, Ga.
• Modern Welding Co. of Ohio Inc., Newark, Ohio.
